Matt Forrest
Hey, thanks for ‘clicking’ me! So what do you want to know? Where I’m from? What I’m like? Well, here’s some info on me…and hopefully you’ll get through it without too many yawns!
I was born in Baltimore, MD, where my father lived – but mom was from Lowell, MA, and they both wanted to live up here In New England. They moved to Pinardville, NH when I was only 9 months old, then moved to my ‘hometown’ of Weare when I was in 3rd grade, where I spent the rest of my life growing up.
Obviously, I love music…but I have a number of other interests, as well; this list will tell you a little more about me!
Favourite Artists: I’ve grown up w/ music all my life, so I love everything. Some of my favourite country artists are Eric Church, Billy Currington, George Strait, Dwight Yoakum, the Oak Ridge Boys, Miranda Lambert, and Shania Twain…although the last 2 have stopped calling, since they got married.
Favorite food: Barbecue! I love Tex-Mex, I love Italian, but honestly, I’ll barbecue ANYTHING: ribs, chicken, potatoes, corn, pudding. People think it’s odd that my 2-year-old son loves barbecue sauce – but I’m not surprised. He’s my kid!
Movies: Anything that does NOT mirror real life. Sorry, I just can’t understand why people spend good money watching a marriage falling apart or a bitter custody battle, for 2+ hours. Give me “Star Wars,” give me “Christmas Vacation,” give me “Princess Bride,” “Hitch-hiker’s Guide,” or the Bourne series…heck, I’ve enjoyed some Jane Austen flicks! I’ll take “Pride & Prejudice” over “The Color Purple” anyday.
TV: I really enjoy science fiction and comedy – and apparently my faves reflect that: Monty Python, X-Files, Red Dwarf, Dr. Who. I also tend to watch WAY too much of the Food Network – but Giada just won’t let me go.
5 Things You Probably Don’t Know About Me:
- I once owned my own disc-jockey business.
- I’m a pretty decent cook, and have worked P-T for a couple of restaurants in the area. Specialties include cheesecake, split pea soup, and the Wolf’s award-winning Howlin’ Country Chili!
- In the mid-late ‘90’s, I taught contemporary country dance. Yes, a lot of line dances – but I really enjoy partner dances like the 2-Step and East Coast Swing.
- Having grown up in the woods, I love working outside – cutting and splitting cordwood, tending the garden, any kind of landscaping. Although I admit, mowing the lawn grows tedious after the first 2 cuttings.
- I’ve had several poems published independently over the years, and am currently working towards getting a collection of children’s poetry published.
Thanks again for checking out my page! Hopefully you didn’t fall asleep and start drooling on the keyboard. Remember, you can always keep in touch with any of us by sending an email, or hitting up the Wolf’s Facebook page – and thanks for listening!
